Safety
The special safety harness design does not depend on plastic or metal tongue buckles for load bearing in an accident. This makes the harness incredibly strong and reliable, and will protect your dog even if the buckles are broken or improperly fastened. Plastic buckles or metal tongue buckles can weaken with wear and abuse and become brittle in cold temperatures. In our opinion they also do not provide adequate protection for larger dogs.
The cushioned, floating chest strap allows the top of the harness to slide a little to each side, helping to prevent shoulder injuries during a crash or quick stop and allowing comfortable use of a shorter (and safer) restraint strap. Extra wide 5cm, 2-ply side straps help distribute pressure across your dog's body reducing the chance of injury. The webbing used exceeds the US and UK federal standard for human car seat belts.

The SURVIVOR Restraint Strap adjusts from 15-70cm allowing you to adjust it to a safe and comfortable length for your dog. The "bull snap" swivel hook lets your dog move around comfortably without getting tangled. It works in any vehicle since the Quick Link makes this system very easy to use with different seat belts, ISOFix hooks or tie-down hooks. Wide, smooth nylon webbing is designed, along with the padded chest strap, to be worn on long road trips and walks without irritating your dog's skin. The large padded chest strap also features a 100% fur-resistant but soft and smooth pack cloth lining. The no-bunch harness design eliminates the bunching and pinching problems that occur when most harnesses are used as vehicle restraints. The 2-ply side straps rest smoothly and comfortably against your dog's body. |

Heavy duty hardware
The swivel snap is an iron "bull snap" also used to restrain livestock animals, and it is much stronger than the die-cast zinc leash swivel snaps commonly used on dog seat belts. The D rings we use are some of the strongest welded rings available. All hardware features a smooth profile with no sharp edges to injure your dog.
